Langthorpe has its own Parish Council which you can find out about on the village notice boards, situated at the end of Skelton Road, along Leeming Lane and by the Picnic Area next to the river. On this website you will find the Parish Council Minutes and contact details as well as a brief history, local photographs and information about the village. There is a short walk around the area called ‘The Langthorpe Loop’ which will introduce you to the area, starting from the Picnic Area, and local buses can take you further afield.

The village is adjacent to the town of Boroughbridge where you will find shopping and further amenities which are detailed on the web site boroughbridge.org.uk
