(b)  Neighbourhood Policing Team update – South of Boroughbridge were not very happy.  The Chairman had attended a meeting with David Cornmell, Gill Firth, Bernie Mitchell, CI Chris Chelton and Andy Chapman regarding the problems.  A  further meeting will be held on 11th December.

7. Report of Tier 1 Meeting held on 10th July 2006 – The Chairman advised that the Tier 1 meeting is attended by the Chairmen or delegate from each of the Tier 2 meetings, Chief Superintendent Bernie Mitchell and 4 North Yorkshire Police Authority members.  There had been a 10% reduction in crime over the same period last year.  The detection rate was disappointing.  The next meeting would be held on the 9th October.

8. Neighbourhood Watch Report – Don Paton reported that the Harrogate and District Neighbourhood Watch had had trouble reorganizing with the wards but were nearly there.  Don is the representative for Ripon and Boroughbridge and Keith Roberts is based in Knaresborough.  An audit of the database would take place next year to remove any lapsed entries.  There had been slight problems with the ringmaster system but a meeting was being held the next day to address the problems.

9. Any Other Business – None.

10. Date of next Meeting – The next meeting would be held on Monday 4th December 2006 at a venue to be decided.
